Cursing: It's Fun!

As soon as the sun begins hitting my apartment balcony in the morning, my fucken dog scratches at the sliding door to go outside. He then spends the rest of the day basking in the sun until sundown.

He is an African dog though - so I suppose he naturally likes that warm sun! He prefers it to my air conditioned apartment...go figure.

I have 2 cats that have been wandering around the house looking for cool places. One prefers the fake tile in the kitchen and the other likes to lay under the bed. My rabbits have been hiding behind the couch and laying on a slab of tile that is generally cooler than the air in the apartment.

When the house is cool the cats like to sleep on the couch or on their cat condo by the window and the rabbits lay in the middle of the floor or under the bed.

ahh to bask in the sun all day... bring on the weekend...

you guys talking about peeing on the walls.....often times i have to do that because im so fat i can't make it to the can in time without getting a dam heart-attack.....it's too much work so i just pee on the floor or on the walls in my home.

Sometimes I get fucking tired of dealing with fucking bullshit. I know I don't have a job. I know I don't keep the house spotless. I know I refuse to just go get some Joe Dufus manual labor job just for the sake of having a job. I know these fucking things.

For about ten years I did the majority of the supporting around here AND still did my fair share of the household shit. Since I'm still bringing in around 1600 a month, have over 10 grand in the bank aside from our money that is invested, and keep the bills paid, I think I'm fucking entitled to take it easy every once in a while and loaf for a few days. It always fucking comes back to getting things done and spending time with my family, so what's the fucking problem?!

When I get in these situations I just keep telling myself, "You only live once" and I make a decision based on that. It helps.

Well, I should preface that rant by saying that I have done the Joe Dufus manual labor job for a couple of decades. I didn't mind having the jobs then, and I don't mind that I had them then, now. I'm just getting too damned old to be climbing telephone poles, digging trenches, or even standing on an assembly line. Physically don't want to do it anymore. Not gonna.

I switched to white collar about 12 years ago and I'm not going back to blue. If there is a decent, even menial, white collar job out there, I would be happy to do it just to fill my days. I haven't found a decent one of those, but I've still been earning on the side and we still have plenty in the bank to survive on for quite some time.

I just get tired of being dogged about being more productive. I've been productive for 30 years. If the productivity level drops off for a bit, and we still have our quality of life, what's the problem? It's not pushing off official retirement, it's not putting us in danger of being homeless or otherwise broke....

Who's to say the productivity level has to go back up?!

I assume you're being bugged about being more productive by family?
