Re: Two Truths and a Lie
It's depressing to know that any one of those is true, let alone two.

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
SIG had it right, I missed some episodes from Season 18...but than later I remembered I missed a few episodes from Big Brother last season...and then I realized I think I have missed some of the season 9 Scrubs Intern show. So ultimately turns out they are all lies hahahaha. But I had Survivor as my initial lie so SIG wins.

I can lucid dream.
I sleep with my eyes open.
I frequently have night terrors.

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
you don't sleep with your eyes open.
considering you say "you can lucid dream" - states that you don't do it on a regular basis.
however the statement regarding sleeping with eyes open sounds like its routine and thats just not healthy for anyone to do it for long periods of time...

nope, I do in fact sleep with my eyes open. [Or at the very least, everyone who sleeps near/with me eventually freaks out and says "OMG, you sleep with your eyes open!" Obviously I haven't seen it.]

Strange, I don't know considering that lucid dreaming and night terrors are often inter connected. Hard to believe one would be true and not the other. I can lucid dream, and I have had night terrors through most of my life.

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
if you can sleep with your eyes open then its more likely for you to lucid dream than to have night terrors.
lucid dreaming is not done in deep sleep...and when you're sleeping with your eyes open, no matter what you will never reach the REM stage of sleep.

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
About 15 years ago, I read an article in Psychology Today that gave instructions on how to train yourself to lucid dream. I followed the instructions, and BAM I could do it.
But here's the trippy part: I started feeling less and less rested and had to give it up because I was exhausted throughout the day.
The problem was that once I was trained to do it, I couldn't easily "untrain" myself. It took a couple of months to dream normally and wake up rested.
Never again. I like plain old dreams just fine.

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
yea lucid dreams are alright once in a while but i like my sleeps as deep as possible...and hopefully not when the alarm is about to go off...waking up from a deep sleep with an alarm is such a pain for me...
back to the game:
I had my first kiss at the age of 14
I have learned to drive at the age of 26
I have eaten sheep's brain

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
I spit on my teacher's face in pre-school.
The doctor told my mom I was dead while she was pregnant with me.
I went to both of my proms in an all white suit.

I lucid dream from a waking state. I've always thought of it as "making myself hallucinate," but I'm pretty sure it's lucid dreaming. I just close my eyes and concentrate in a certain way [letting the hypnagogic state slip in, I think), and whooooweee does shit get fucked up. A downside is that it sometimes happens involuntarily if I'm in a depressive episode.

Re: Two Truths and a Lie
Hmm...I was originally thinking that Yellowstone would be a shoe-in considering what your wife does for a living. But perhaps it is just so obvious that it's the lie! ...and everyone has seen the Grand Canyon, right?
I'm going with Yellowstone!
